Mini Apps, building apps for business

Examples of how your company can use an app

Apps are all about providing your customers with useful content delivered directly to their phone.  Your customers do not have to turn on their computer, find your website or call you for information they simply have to view your iPhone App.

With an iPhone app, the information your customers want is available 24hrs a day no matter where they are.

Here are a few examples to get you thinking about how you can use your app.

Industry Sector – Recruitment

With an app, clients can review your latest jobs, read news articles that you publish and be notified when a new job opportunity becomes available.

Industry Sector – Pubs and Restaurants

If you own a pub, restaurant or takeaway then you can provide customers with your most recent menu, update customers with special offers and notify customers of new menu items.  Customers can even plot a route from where they are straight to your premises via google maps.

The survey section allows you to ask direct questions to your customers and gain instant feedback about your products and services.

Industry Sector – Products (i.e. furniture stores)

Customers can search your products, be the first to know about your special offers or when a sale is due to end. Customers can plot a route from where they are straight to your shop via google maps.

Industry Sector – Services (i.e. agencies)

Imagine meeting a new client and rather than just giving a business card, you send them a text with a link to your app.  Your potential client can now access contact information and your portfolio details of designs and services.

Whilst the functionality of the app is the same, what you place in each section is up to you.  But remember, Apple do not allow brochure apps i.e. apps that simply display your services.  For further guidance, Read the FAQ's section.
